Men’s Health

Have you benefited from compounded hormone therapy?

If so, you won’t be happy with what the FDA is planning.

Andropause

MALES UNDERGO MENOPAUSE TOO. HORMONES IN BOTH SEXES DECLINE FROM THEIR EARLY 20s ON.

In many women this happens in their 40s or 50s with the syndrome known as menopause. Technically the menopause is the precise time a woman stops having her periods. Symptoms in women often start years earlier and this has become known as the peri-menopause and is associated with a gradual decline in women’s sex hormone levels.

Men have no specific marker such as stopping periods in women to detect they are in menopause. But their hormones decline from the early to mid-twenties.
At some point, usually in the early to mid-forties this hormonal decline becomes apparent with physical and mental changes occurring. Some of these changes are:
  • Increase in abdominal fat
  • Declining muscle mass and strength
  • Decrease in motivation and drive
  • Increase fatigue
  • Moodiness & irritability
  • Problems with concentration
  • Declining interest in sex
  • Declining spontaneous erections
  • Declining incidence of sexual intercourse
  • Need for extra stimulation to get erections
  • Declining ability to sustain erections and declining quality of erections
  • Increasing tendency for depression
  • Increase in heart disease
  • Increase in LDL “bad” cholesterol
  • Increasing prostate problems especially BPH
These changes have an enormous impact on men’s lives. Their relationships change. Their interests decline or change. In short, they grow old!

What we need to aim for in the treatment of Andropause is a restoration of free testosterone to the normal range for YOUNG MEN, or to keep your free testosterone in the upper third of the range for your age group.

What is TRT?

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) is the medical practice of replacing testosterone in men with low testosterone. Your practitioner will likely utilize either a blood or saliva test, as well as your various symptoms, to determine what are the right hormones, doses, and delivery forms for you.

Testosterone can be compounded in different strengths and dosage forms to meet your individual needs. It can also be compounded with DHEA, Anastrozole, and Chrysin as well as other combinations. Hormones can be compounded as oral tablets, sublingual troches, or creams, as well as other dosage forms. Multiple hormones can be combined in one dosage form. At Precision Compounding Pharmacy we will work with your provider to help create what is best for each individual person and do not believe in a one size fits all approach.
Erectile Dysfunction (ED)

Erectile dysfunction affects as many as 30 million men, more common as men age but can occur at any age. ED can be caused by a variety of health conditions, medications, or other factors such as stress or anxiety. It is a treatable condition and Precision Compounding Pharmacy has a variety of solutions to help.

  • Oral ED medications
Rapid Dissolve Troches: Commercially available tablets can often take 30 minutes to several hours to start working, but a Rapid Dissolve Troches can start working within 15 minutes. This troche disintegrates in your mouth quickly, moving into the blood vessels around the tongue, causing a faster onset of action
